Hi Ladies
Next month (Feb 13th) is our wedding anniversary and I would like to come up with something romantic to do with my DH as well as a special gift. I love the idea of doing something adventurous together but we have already been skydiving and diving with the sharks so not sure what other options there are. I would also love a private dining experience if anyone knows anything about that type of thing. Other than that DH likes gadgets and technology, adventure and football. Any ideas would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry, I know it's an age and generational thing, my parents celebrated their 59th anniversary this week - they ordered in Chinese food (but I know the music was special because they have an extensive collection). Enjoy your special moments as best you can where you can - my parents have done and continue to do so.

I found this with regards to the horseriding when I was looking for idas last night: http://www.dreamdays.ae/user/experience.do?action=open&id=801 Its not on the beach but it still sounds nice. I think I am going to the cheap route for our anniversary and order a delivery from our fave restaurant. I think nothing can be more private at such an affordable cost :p For DHs gift I am thinking of getting him this barbecue he has been mooning over as well as some engraved BBQ utensils. The falconry people haven't got back to me yet.

The Jumeirah beach dinner sounds amazing but 3500 is ridiculous! We could have a weekend in Sri Lanka for that price! Its such a shame that its so expensive. I know that the Kempinski in Ajman offers the same thing for a much lower price but I am not sure how nice the hotel or the food is. As for it possibly being a dry night, I prefer that it is because we don't drink. If its dry then restaurants will probably be less crowded and therefore more romantic! :P

I dont want to burst you bubble, but be prepared as it could well be a dry night!!!! Best ring and ask the hotels before booking. Have a wonderful night anyway, Its our 23rd Anniversary in June and was thinking about doing something special too. The romanitc night seems lovely, may look into it.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel do a private dining experience - I looked into it last year when my sister's boyfriend was planning to propose to her in Dubai, someone on here recommended it. It is a looks absolutely beautiful however unfortunately came with a price tag of AED 3500 per couple (includes 5 course dinner, bottle of champagne and flower bouquet) so it was out of my sister's boyfriend's price range! This is what it says on the flyer they sent me..... [b'>The Ultimate Romantic Dining Experience Impress your loved one with a unique evening that will leave memories to last a lifetime. Thanks for the ideas. I love the ballooning idea but worried that waking up at dawn and the fact that there will be other people in the group might make it less romantic. Dh doesn't reallt read so a kindle wouldnt really work for him. Quizzme, I loved your idea and have sent an email to the company you recommended so I will see what they can offer us. Thanks again!

I offered a falconry experience to dh for his bday which was fab: pick-up at our house, just 2 of us (& falconry trainer ) training the falcons in the afternoon, then romantic dinner in the desert & you can choose to spend the night there (there is a lodge type 1 bed house) or they'll drive you back. http://www.shaheenxtreme.com/

How about a hotair balloon ride http://www.ballooning.ae/. Does he like reading? I got a kindle for Christmas and can't put it down! edited by chants39 on 16/01/2011
