My sister says you're allowed to do it and doctor says it's OK as long as I'm getting enough calories. Any experiences?

No worries - have a good trip! I read the Slimming World books last night thinking it'd be fairly simple. It's a minefield and I just don't get it! :( How can I scoff pasta all day yet blended fruit in a smoothie has to be a healthy extra or Syn?! :\:

I'd planned to do it DC, but my mega-gut took over and I spent 9 months eating. I did however check with my GP (Carol Smilie at the London Clinic) and she said SW was fine. You eat flipping LOADS of good stuff on SW (loads more than WW) and there is something on their website that says it is approved by the Royal College of Midwives. Good luck! PS - I am off to the UK today so I'll have to try and get those DVDs to you when I am back in May. FX

I was a WW Leader in Australia and we were not allowed to enrol pregnant women or accept new mothers until they were 6 week post delivery. I think this was partiallly due to the insurance aspect but also as each pregnancy is different weight management should be overseen one on one by a fully trained health professional. Following a healthy eating plan and monitoring calories, trans and saturated fat along with salt and cholesterol would be just as, if not more, beneficial than sticking strictly to a commercial plan in my opinion.
