We are waiting to hear about 1 villa, i'll let you know if it falls through. If we don't find anything we like we will store our stuff and stay in a hotel for a couple of weeks....not the best solution, but we can make it work

We're in Meadows 9, near the dreaded pylons. Can get you LL's name if you're interested, believe they own at least this street and are quite business orientated - better to let for six months than have villa empty for 6 months, no?

Which meadows are you in? I am not sure why it is so hard (other than this is Dubai), but I hear constantly that there are these villa's empty, but trying to find them, and see them is soooo hard......it doesn't help that we are under serious time pressure now....

For some reason, there are many empty villas in our street (nothing to do with us moving in, I don't think!) We have 3 beds plus study plus maid's with garden but no pool and I guess the rest down the road are the same. No probs with maintainance. But probably too small for you and doubt our landlord would do a 6 month deal, though maybe, you could try..

The meadows is nice, we just haven't seen anything there we like....actually more the issue is everything we have seen has been really poorly maintained, and/or has its own pool which we don't want (Young crawler in the house). Went and had a look at a lakes villa today, which we actually really liked, however I am looking for other options as initially we can only offer 6 months, which then if Dh contract is extended, we will extend. Just not sure the landlord will accept that!, so need alternatives.

i know there is a sign up for rent in Maeen 1 in the Lakes, it is probably a 4 bedroom villa--not town home. hope that helps
