Better RENTAL Deal Jumeirah over Meadows/Springs?

We have started to shop around as our 4-bed in Meadows is costing us a small fortune and we don't want to do this next year. I can't believe how inexpensive Jumeirah has become!! HALF the price of where we are! I always thought that Jumeirah was the most expensive area in Dubai. Does this mean that Meadows and Springs will come down? Our stingy landlord refuses to budge and thinks he is giving us a nice deal at 240k...
Problem for us would be school commutes from Jumeriah to the Greens. Not nice every day. It will take a while to get into another school ...waiting lists are soooo long.
Anyone made the move to the other side and commute to school/work?

What do you think of Jumeirah over Springs/Lakes/Meadows ladies??

TIA

We've just moved to the Springs after villa hunting in Jumeira/Um Suqueim and the Springs. We're in a 3 bed, and for villas this size it seemed to us that the places in Um Suqueim and Jumeira were more expensive than the Springs, and also a bit dated and run down. It was worth shopping about within the Springs because I saw some terrible places for the same price as we eventually paid for our villa.

Keep in mind the villas in Jumeirah are owned by emirati's and they were never bought at the inflated prices many people in the meadows/springs paid, so although the villas in jum were high in the peak of the prices just like everywhere else, they have far more room to move, so are able to drop down to more realistic prices to attract renters, whereas many in the "freehold" areas have paid so much they're still holding out to try and recoup some of their losses

Yes, this is what we thought. Um Sequim or Victory Heights could be an option we thought but don't know much about either area yet...

I live in Umm Sequiem and our rent came DOWN by dhs8,000, Prices are definitely lower at the moment. We are in a 5 bed with own pool and pay less than dhs190,000
