I would be grateful if you provide a feedback about these two schools. I am a working mom, and moved to Dubai one year ago. My daughter will be in year4 and the little one in FS1. This year I am exhausted with trying to arrange after school activities for my daughter. And dreaming for a school near home and with good education as I feel I cannot support her enough at home.
I feel like DIS and settling in Festival city will solve the issue kind of a dream come true :) but I don't know any family that can talk about the pros and cons of the school.
I know that I am late to apply for schools but any other suggestions?

My children go to GWPS and I am very pleased with the school. It's just a primary school though, so if you want the full school years then go with DIS. The school has a great community, great management, great teachers, etc, and I am really happy with the progress of my children. They have pretty small class sizes as well, max 20. We have been at the school for the last 4 years and it is very international in terms of the mix of nationalities. To be honest, schools are very personal experiences for every one person that says that they love a school, you get others that don't like it. Go with your intuition on how you felt about each school and which one seemed to work best for you and your children. Thank you SEY83, unfortunately GWPS couldn't offer a place for my little one. I had good feedback from EW but I couldnot solve the home, school and work Bermuda triangle. On the other hand , I found out that DIS had very good scores last year , http://whichschooladvisor.com/guides/how-well-did-uae-schools-do-in-their-exams/2/ and they are the one of the rare ones that publish the exam scores, which I really appreciated. For GCSE, they have the same level with Dubai British School and Wellington International. For IB they just after the JESS who scored 35,the top of UAE , with 34 points this year, so I guess it is good, right? I know the scores are numbers only, that is why I tried to get feedback. And thank you for the feedbacks, they are very valuable to me. So let's cross the fingers for the next year for all of our kids :)

DS graduated last year. I am connected thru sport activities with the school . So, yes involved with the staff and do hear about all happening. I must say the children are a true blend on Nationalities and very well behaved and well mannered I get to speak to a lot of parents and no one I know is leaving

If living in Festival City area, this is a fantastic school. Not sure if you will get in? They are expanding to have a further 800 students. ( EY early years ( FS ) to IB 2 ) The intake will not be till Sept 17. There are after school activities Sun- Wed. The teachers are wonderful and the turn over of teachers isnt big. Hence the teachers enjoy the school. If you can get in, go for it Thank you for the response , I assume that you have kids attending DIS ?
