Well, I understand your query and will share you my views on the same. I have been staying in Dubai for the past 7 years with my family. I have explored most of the popular hyper markets and supermarkets in Dubai to buy my daily grocery essentials to electrical appliances, clothing to household appliances at attractive prices. Hypermarkets in Dubai are bigger than the supermarkets and store a wide variety of high quality fresh products at fewer prices. The opening hours in hyper markets are longer than the supermarkets. For your reference, you can visit the website - https://corporate.unioncoop.ae/en/ for details. In my opinion, most of the hypermarkets take the appearance of a warehouse. Supermarkets are commonly known as grocery stores, and its decor will be very attractive than the hypermarkets. The main thing I have observed that in hypermarkets, every consumer can even buy the daily household goods with low levels of risk. Regarding Carrefour, it is one of the biggest retail groups in Dubai and the UAE with hypermarket and supermarket.

Carrefour has just opened in Motor City, in one of the buildings between MC and Sports City. It isn't large and also not cheap either. It seems C4 change their prices according to their location within the UAE. The price match Spinneys on most of their lines. Given the choice, I'd shop at Spinneys any day of the week. If you want a C4 hypermarket, then your nearest would be MoE or Mirdiff. There's also a half decent one in MCC

Technically Hypermarkets are meant to be bigger and a cross between a supermarket and department store. i.e. the ones where you can also buy clothes, electronics, kitchen appliances etc
