From time to time, Dubai Municipality does a round up of cats. It is not pretty and no one knows where they will be next. If you have a cat that goes out make sure it has a collar and municipality tag on. If you have lost the tag, get another one. Also a good idea to keep you cats in from dinner time on as they usually put out the traps at night when cats roam.

Something to chew on.

289 1114 I am pretty sure that is the #. Can I suggest strongly Clair, that you physically go down there? she must be close by. Have you looked in the smallest places in your neighbourhood? electrical buidings...hiding in neighbours water tank enclosures, garages in cupboards, neighbours who have gone away? posters in all doors and continually knocking on door who do not answer, insisting to please let you check their yard for hidden spots?? or have her hidden somewhere? see if you can get on the radio? call all vets with pictures...at midnight go on your roof and call her and listen. I do hope she calls back :( thanks SueB. I hear what you are saying and will get down there today. I've been that mad woman during the night on the balcony and all around the garden and outside hoping that she'd call me but nothing so far..... SueB I just managed to get the cat catcher on his mobile for this area and they are not working in AR and have not been working in AR for a while - so there's no way she's been trapped by municipality. I have a complaint number and they have all her numbers so that if she is brought in they will marry her up with me...... she's not at the pet market either. Have walked the length and breadth of our street and looked in all the bushes and grasses - nothing - now off with more leaflets for the next street. got all the gardeners looking too and they love the idea of a reward...... keeping positive but feeling crappy.

I am sure she is terrified :(. Go out your front door, get down to a cats height (silly I know but try it lol) to see what she sees as a possible hiding place near by..she could be keeping quiet because she is terrified ;(.....

Sue B - do you have a number for the cat people at Dubai Municipality - my gorgeous 13 year old cat has gone missing. she has name tag with phone number on, municipality tag and she's micro chipped but......nothing so far and I've pounded the streets looking for her. Will get on the phone to them tomorrow and see if I can get down there to see if they have her......

heart fm reliable source that DM caught around 120 cats the last 2 weeks in Mirdiff area, they wanted to clean... and of course, they put them to sleep if no tag... . until they dont take the problem at the root, situation will never improved... they have to make a campaign to neutral cats as they now do in Abu Dhabi... . so yes ensure your cats have a tag .. to avoid a bad end.... !!!

they will not pick up the cats with a tag. In order to have the tag you have to have the collar and sniffy is right, chances of them being able to scan your pet are slim. They are 3 to a cage, not good so pay attention to your kitties.

They are put to to sleep, sometimes not much gap from trapping to euthanasia, hard to scan shrieking cat for microchip, as sueb said please do make sure yr cat has a collar and tag, more chances of getting a call from the municipality.
