I have been through all the threads I can find on Pet Groomers in Dubai but can not find the info I am looking for so am hoping someone can help.

We have an American Cocker Spaniel and as we both work during the week would ideally like to take her to be groomed on a Friday. Does anyone know of any good groomers that are open on Fridays?

Forgot to add they are open on Friday until 8pm and the shop in Motor City is brand new and very nice for grooming - they only do one dog at a time. No problems with access or parking. They usually take around 90 mins so if you don't live locally there's plenty of places for a coffee nearby next to Spinneys.

Pet Habitat have a great groomer called Daniel. He was in their Al Barsha shop 04 457216 but has transferred to Motor City. He has American Cockers himself in the Phillipines and knows the breed well and is definitely a dog lover. I have 2 that I have been taking to him for a couple of years now and he does a great job. As said before Pet Habitat have a loyalty program and there is 50% off your first grooming in the new shop. Just to let you know he is on vacation until 4th May but I highly recommend him and he's also helpful if you have any questions about the breed. It's always good to be able to talk to the groomer - my friend took her dog to Snoopy pets and the receptionist didn't pass on the cut she wanted - hence her pet had far more taken off than she wanted.

DC2DXB, Just to let you know that I took our American Cocker Spaniel to Snoopy Pets on Friday and they did a wonderful job grooming her. She came out looking and smelling beautiful and they did the perfect Standard Cocker cut. I would definitely recommend them. I have to say that the area was slightly off putting as they have loads of road works and to park the lady had to come out and let us in to a rather grubby car park but we left her there for an hour whilst we went to MOE and she was absolutely fine and happy.

Thanks so much for the responses and recommendations. We have booked her in at Snoopy Pets on Friday (she is only having a trim and as DC2DXB said maybe they are better with dogs than cats... fingers crossed!!). If we're not happy we may well try Pet Connection as well. Thanks again. plz keep me posted though. I hope it works out but also want to know if I need to change! mine is due for another soon! :)

Oh I keep forgetting that Pet Connection opens on Fridays now. I take my cats to their vet and they are always very cooperating anytime I go with a street cat, they always manage to fit me in the vet's schedule and give me a good discount, I dont think I would get anywhere else. As for their groomer, she is wonderful, she washed my cats many times in addition to street cats but honestly I dont know how she is in dogs trimming.. Though I am sure she is worth a try.. She also assists the vets (in addition to grooming) and she really cares about animals and how to hold them.. and she keeps smiling :)

maybe they are better with dogs then? they really did do good job on my teacup schnauzer - not a typical cut and didnt need me to explain it all. he was also in and out within 90 minutes.... no complaints here... i've used them 3x.

I can only recommend Pets Habitat in Barsha. I tried all other groomers and none of them was good like Pets Habitat. They also givea loyalty card so for 6 sessions you get the 7th one free. Me and my friends used Pets Habitat and others and we are all agreed that they are the best in grooming. Snoopy Pets, No.. I have complained to them already about their service, they did a terrible grooming for my cat and took more than one year for the hair to grow back. The owner of Snoopy Pets is a wonderful lady and they have good services in relocating, etc.. but grooming no.. they dont listen to what you ask them to do, they say yes yes but they completely do the opposite thing!! Sorry I didnt want to put negative comment about them but again I cannot stay quiet if I have something to say.

Thanks for replying so quickly DC2DXB. I have booked her in for Friday at Snoopy Pets, she is only 14 weeks old so we are doing a gentle introduction to grooming. Thanks for the recommendation as we want to take her somewhere reputable and definitely no where that is going to nick her ear and put her off of grooming for the next 12 years :)

i've used snoopy and world of pets both on Fridays. Snoopy is great, World of Pets nicked my dog's ear and didnt say anything. I only noticed when I got home. I've groomed my dog on my own before, and trust me, you'd know if you nick him. Snoopy was great http://www.snoopypets.com/contactus.html
