Because JJ, i work and sometimes need the extra help. I will either have to set up a fixed time/schedule for the same maid to come weekly........or just forget it and do it myself............ :\: .................... :\:............. :\: Just do it yourself and save the money, they arn't worth the hassel and stress, never mind the huge invasion of privacy!

In the last six months from our apartment, using maid agencies, we've had DH wedding ring vanish mysteriously, and also his I-pod. Even things like Nutella?? Also, I saw a maid taking a small bag from our house wrapped in a grocery bag and put in her handbag - because she is not my employee I felt I couldn't question her about it - I still am not sure what it was that got stolen. I can't report any of it as I am so unorganised and use so many different companies that when DH asks me which maid company it was sometimes I can't even remember :\: - also sometimes it is a week or so until we notice something is missing. And we always track it back to going missing during the same time the agencies have been in. :( I'm at the stage where I don't want to call any agencies in - but am just fed up with things mysteriously vanishing. :( Why are you even bothering to employ agency maids? Really why? These maids are stealing from you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit if I had kids and more money ........ I'd still never consider a live in maid...... BUT, for those that can afford and for those that have good maids I envy! Diff horses for diff courses and if I had the money for a few ponies & had my life blessed me with a couple of rug rats maybe I'd think differently. Each to their own!! xx

Sorry RS I really dont mean this to be flippant ..... but my goodness yet another maid related thread!! I'm so lucky to live in serviced apts where 'the boys' come in twice a week to change the bed linen, towels, hoover round, dust and clean down surfaces. If we've been really lazy the night before we leave them out 15 dhs & they'll even do our washing up and put it away before we come home the next day. I liken it to the fairies having being in!! Am so lucky and so glad I dont have to endure a full time live in maid!!! LLx I know I get fed up with reading about maids - but i looked on here for a recommendation a few weeks ago after getting well behind with the housework and thought i would be doing myself a favour over the christmas break! maybe i'll just wait for the fairies!

yes i just sent a follow up email to them asking for a reply. When I called the supervisor Tina - her response was "our maids wouldnt steal make up, especially beth as she doesn't wear it!" She said she would call me back but nothing hey ho! not sure if anything else is missing - i don't leave stuff laying around of any value but who knows. hopefully it was only the make up

That is bad. Perhaps you could email them again to let them know that you will be reporting them. They may respond sooner.

They quote on the website Insurance You want to make certain that the house cleaning company has proper liability insurance. Should one of the cleaning staff slip and fall while cleaning your home your home owners liability insurance may not cover the incident. It is essential that the maid service you use has comprehensive liability employee accident coverage andi f they are properly insured this will protect you should a staff member be responsible for a theft while they are in your home cleaning it. You should be aware that there are maid service companies out there which are not coverd or only have limited coverage that does not protect the consumer. Dubai maids have this in place however any incidents must be reported within 24 hours so that we can do full investigations and follow up to resolve any incident that might occur to resolve the situation I used Dubai Maids and was extremely happy with the standard of work - the same maids came three weeks running and after the third visit i noticed some dior make up missing (only because I was going out and making my face up!) i report it straight away with a phone call and an email and now 8 days later no response! needless to say I won't be using them again.
