Please don't go to Dr Nikita i personally had tonsillectomy done for both my kids and was utterly disappointed with the post surgery pain management by her. on the contrary when i kid was suffering she was extremely rude and kept asking why am i following up again and again . I was surprised a dr who was so sugar coated before the operation can change so much post operation?? it was only after i changed my dr my child was relived of pain. I personally think medcare is getting very commercial
I would not go to Dr T for any opinion whether first second or other. I spent a very stressful and anxious few weeks after his complete failure to diagnose correctly what turned out to be a very benign problem.
To top it all off his patient manners are appalling and verge on bizarre.
My advice steer clear.
Busybee87 - have your polyps returned yet, since your surgery last year ? I understand this surgery provides relief temporarily for a couple of months ? what was your experience ?
Hi - I had a surgery done to remove nasal polyps last year. I went back home for the surgery but I was seeing Dr. Naggar at Medcare before and after the procedure. He was the one who suggested the surgery. I highly recommend him.
My surgery was endoscopic surgery (FESS). I had fungal sinusitis and nasal polyps. It was making my life miserable. I had even lost my sense of smell. I was given steroids before the surgery for around 25 days and some after the surgery as well. If you are given these I highly recommend that you speak to your doctor about the side effects and weigh them with the benefits before deciding to take them. These tablets had a very bad affect on my mood and also on my cycles.
For the surgery I was put on general anasthesia so did not feel a thing. Subsequently, I had nasal bleeding for around 3-5 days. The surgery really helped me at the end of the day and now Alhamdulilah I feel MUCH better.
Let me know if you have any questions. All the best.
Hi, I need an operation to get polyps removed from my nose- anyone else experienced this over here & can you recommend a good doctor?
Nando - did you have any luck looking for a doctor ? I am looking for a doctor to get polyps removed too. I have met with three doctors : Dr. Nikita Malhotra, Dr. John McEwan & Dr. Abdul Aleem. Dr. Aleem was the only one who wasn't pushy and was very honest & polite. He emphasized that this isn't a cure only temporary relief & left it to me to get back to him about my decision. But I can't seem to find anyone who has done this surgery..
Just realised the link doesnt work. So try looking up the website for American Hospital in Dubai, then select Doctors, type in ENT and you will see Dr. Muaaz Tarabichi. We went to him for a second opion after seeing Dr Bhagat and then chose to go with Dr Tarabichi. (Just a personal choice).
Dr Tarabichi performed my 3 year old son's Adenoid and Grommits operation and was outstanding. The hospital care was good and would recommend getting a second opinion by 2 good doctors recommended on this thread. Hope it helps.

Right well as promised reporting back about ENT Specialist Dr. Joseph Sleiman at the EK Hospital after today's appointment. Hmmm, don't really have an opinion! Said nothing new, DD got prescribed antibiotics. Seemed nice enough, but erm can't recommend or not recommend him. Wishing I'd taken DD to see Dr. Marc Mueller now!
