First thing I wanted to do after catching up with my grown up children and cats was to take the car for a long spin on our empty Aussie roads-then treated myself to proper fish and chips with pumpkin and potato cakes........funny the things you miss-only eat them about once a year back home but had to have some regardless! One of my favourite things back home is hearing the postie zoom up the drive on his motorbike-miss the mail being delivered to the door here yes i miss the mail too.... we won't get any here cos it's being redirected...really weird not to see it on the mat every morning.. would have loved to go off in the car but sadly it's still awaiting repair.. I am sure you will have a great holiday regardless-pity you missed the lightning striking the Burj Khalifa-it was really something-even from a distance!

ok, so we've been in Dubai seven months and have come home for Easter hols - first time home..Felt a bit weird at first but now it's almost as if the last few months never happened !! lol How was it for you and what was the first thing you wanted to do ?? sad to say we had to go to macdonalds today just to get shakes !! lol oh and mighty peed off that we missed the rain lolol
