Just back from taking my son for his assessment for foundation stage and he couldn't have been worse!!!!

I said to my husband before....what is he gets 'funny' and doesn't answer any questions or something......"he won't" replied my husband.........................Oh yes he will....

What colour is this?..............don't know
How many bubbles are on this page?................don't know
How many pictures on the wall..............1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 said as fast as possible (there were 4!!!!!)
Deputy head..."lets go round here and look at this..."......DS walks in opposite direction in to gym and gets a ball.....

I couldn't help but laugh. It was just a nightmare....at least my son behaved like a 3yr old boy!!!!!

Lets see if he gets a place!!!!!!

Freckles! - was meant to send u best wishes b4 i left the house this morning, but was running out the door..... and have been on the water all day... How did it go? - was it similar to Croucheys? - which seems pretty harsh to me.. Thought it would be just a meet and greet! Did u get offered a place immediately? - or do they get back to you? Crouchey, i'm sure your son, did fine.... sending positive vibes your way!

Gotta be better than my friend who was called in the see the headmaster and asked if everything was ok at home.... Her son had bumped his face on the side of the couch over the weekend and had a lovely black shiner at school the following week. When asked by his teacher what happened, he replied "My mommy hit me. With a fist." ... :D Hehe! My son has a shiner below his left eye due to bumping it against the bed (he was playing hide and seek and dove underneath the bed!). I'm expecting to get 'abusive mother' looks this afternoon....

Oh this had made me giggle. I've mentioned this to DH too. As I'm convinced our DS will be the same. Look forward to hearing whether your DS was successful or not. Crossing fingers and toes for him;-)

Haha! Hilarious! Sounds like something my son would do. Mine will also be going for an 'interview' this afternoon. Hope he is awake as it is during his regular naptime.

Ginnee - don't know the comparisons, sorry. FS1 is for 3 yr olds I understand why schools do assessments, but they must realise that kids are. as you say, kids!!!!!! Couldn't have been better that my son went with 2 other kids who were seriously in to books and doing what their parents told them!!!!!!! Highlighted my son all the better!!!!!!!

reminds me of taking DS for his developmental check, I think it was 18 months, they put these really tiny sweetie things down on the table for him to pick up (guess they were checking for hand eye co-ord) anyway apparently they're supposed to try to pick them up individually using pinsor grip - they were the size of a pinhead.... DS looks at them, licks his finger, sticks them to his finger eats them and says "more" .... nurse says "well no problem there"!!! Bless him, hope you get a place!

My 2 1/2 year old boy has his assessment at 2 o clock this afternoon. Dreading it. Lets see if they can even get the dummy out of his mouth!
