Hi there, I know this was almost 4 years ago but I’m looking for bamboo poles and the garden center prices are outrageous! Any idea if the place you went to still exists?!

I was there Yesterday, I think they are about 3 to 4m long. If you not want to take the sand track you can also go right at the roundabound you will pass the shops on the left hand, then u-turn. Drive back and take the slip road.

Hi Belina coming from Dubai do you know if there only one exit to Al Khawaneej. If so is it the first turn off signposted to Al Khawaneej. Did you also notice if they were tall. I am looking for around 8ft, 2.5 meters. Thanks

They have them in al Khawaneej at the shop where I buy my firewood. If you tyake the exit al Khawaneej on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed road, straight al the time till you reach the second roundabound, go straight aswell ( you can see the shops on the right hand). At the back of the shops is a sand track, on your right, take this and the take road back to the front. there is an abaya kind of a shop, after this is some empty space then there starts another block with shops. At the first shop of this block there is a big tree and a narrow sand alley to the back of the shops again. This shop has it. They have them in the sand alley. Try printing out some pictures and heading up to the Warsan garden area - keep trying different shops until you find someone who has some or who knows where to get them ;)
