This year has some unusual and interesting dates ... 1/1/11, 11/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/11/11 ...

Try this guys: take last 2 digits of the year you were born, add to the age you will be this year, and the total will come to 111 ... spooky eh ;) :)

doesnt work for someone who was born in this millenium though ... DS born in 2006 ... turns 5 this year ... so 06+5=11 and not 111 it's the same principle and will still work (albeit 11 not 111) for all those born...... nothing strange at all just a simple equation. Year of birth + age = current year..... I was born in 1980 and am 30. 1980 + 30 = 2010 :) no birthday this year? at the end of the year, you will be 31. 31+1980 = 2011 (damn your young) :( But it doesn't have the same ring if you have to add "But it only works AFTER you've had your birthday" does it? LOL! (And you're younger than me, Izzy :()

Last 2 digits only plus age this year equals 111 for all my friends who've tried :) It's not strange. if you take away your age from the year it is you get your birth year....... all you are doing is using the 10's rather than the full 4 digits... so basically rather than the year 2011 being represented as that it's being represented as 111...... absolutely NOTHING strange about it. BTW it will be true for everyone.

I think 11/11/11 should be a public holiday. (in UK). Rememberance Day (Poppy Day) in Australia. I think it is Veterans Day in the US. Is it the same in the UK? Yes, Rememberance day for UK as well.
