I'm not a teen with 1st love problems, and I guess I know myself well enough what makes sense. but when ur in this kind of shtty state of mind, its difficult to see things clearly and a lot easier to feel sorry for urself tx all

Hi Magyera, you have all my empathy, know how difficult that is... Now knowing, of course, your particular experience, I dare venture a few suggestions - my apologies should they be inappropriate... First and foremost, allow yourself feeling that pain, expess it if you like by writing it down, screaming, crying - all but suppress it! Secondly, on a sheet separated into two columns (pro & con/good & bad) write down all your feelings, experiences, etc. Often, in a situation of separation/divorce, you will find the bad outweighing the good by 5:1 or more. Perhaps seeing that actually in front of your eyes helps to accept that a particular "arrangement" has not been as good as we would have liked it ... and is perhaps better out of the way so we can go on to better and bigger things? Thirdly, in strict (& often very painful) honesty, analyse just how much of your ego is involved? Whichever way you handle it, time and love - mostly for yourself - are the greatest healers. Wishing you well...

you will get over them ,over time . It is always easier to get over someone if they have hurt you and if you regret being with them. But if you still love the person , just don't be hard on your self and don't expect the pain to disappear over night. The best way is to stop contacting that person and stop doing things that would remind you of him. Delete the pictures , hide the gifts and anything around you that would remind you of your memories . . What if Pieces of him lives with u (DD), & you can see everyday his eyes, his smile, his dimples... all in her. D u still can forget!!! you will never forget . Its like anything else that happens in life. After a while it fades away , you will always remember him , but after you are over him , you wont remember him as often and as strongly . The pain would be much lesser.

Go to the gym, get a makeover, have your hair and nails done. Make sure ex sees you somewhere with your fab new look after a few months. [b'>Let his jaw drop and look at him like he is dirt and so not worthy of you![/b'> i wish my mind worked like that

long line of arguments and fights ended with no more talking to each other. thing is, once the storm calms down, even though i know what went wrong or just how badly a fight felt, the nice things always seem to surface and thats when the pain starts. you stop thinking about how much he hurt u or how much you hurt him and all u see is his eyes smiling at u, out of the blue his smell is in ur nose even though u havent seen him in weeks, u want to forget and forgive eveything just to have him around again... That sounds a bit like loneliness creeping in if you are blocking the bad and replacing it with good. You used to fight and hurt each other, thats not a nice way to live and you deserve better for yourself. Remember that x

The best way is to stop contacting that person and stop doing things that would remind you of him. Delete the pictures , hide the gifts and anything around you that would remind you of your memories . Once you can do that , that means you are emotionally ready to start moving on , then you should find a distraction , some kind of a new hobby !!! There is no formula that works for everybody , I don't know your personality and I can only tell you what works for me .when I want to get over someone , I find myself a new personal project to focus . something like loosing weight and doing exercises ,or renovating my flat , giving my self a new makeover with shopping and new hair colour or something. It makes me remember that life has not stopped and there are still things that would cheer me up and make me happy . Believe me when I tell you , I know what you are going trough ,because I have been there more than once. Good Luck . P.S. I am a good listener if you wanted to talk . you can write to me on khatooon at yahoo dot com .

I don't know either but I read this yesterday: You don't get over it~you just get through it. You don't get by it~because you can't get around it. It doesn't 'get better'~it just gets different. Everyday... Grief puts on a new face... May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow! Thats a nice verse

I think it depends on the breakup (why it happened) if you are talking about a relationship if you mean the lose of someone, that never goes away, just gets a little easier

I do not know if you ever get over someone, but any pain is lessened with time.

get over somebody? Im not just talking about numbing your senses, distracting your attention. I’m talking about being able to think of that person in case you do, without pain, without wondering what you could have done differently, without wondering if it’s better that its over, without blaming yourself for eveything, even for what wasnt your fault...
