Hopefully someone knows an inside way to do this...

I waited too late to book two Burj Khalifa tix and now the online system is sold out for the times we are available, which is this Fri (11/2) from 13:00-19:00 and Sat (12/2) from 10:00-17:00. We are coming over from Qatar and I really missed the boat on booking this, which is something my husband really wanted to see. I tried the concierge at my hotel but they say they use the same online booking system.

Anyone have an inside track on how to score tickets?

Not sure if you looked into the afternoon tea option at at.mosphere but if it's AED200/head minimum spend for that then at least it's not as much as AED400 each for the on the day tickets? I went for dinner recently and the food is amazing - I was worried it would be really cheesy/tacky & they were just trading on the novelty of being high up, but the food was honestly amazing quality.

Just a head's up if you do get tickets - be prepared for a long, LONG wait. We had tickets for Sunday and didn't reach the top until 45 minutes after our ticket time (queues everywhere). Last time we went (Jan 1st) we sailed right through. It was PACKED on Sunday. Good luck.

summerdream, again, that would work out awesomely if you can convince him to go solo with the kids, but I know how that goes! In the event you do end up having that one ticket, please let me know. I have actually been up to At The Top, but this is my husband's first time to Dubai. Worse comes to worse, I'm happy to hang out down below while he goes to see it. If anyone else has tickets they'd be able to part with this weekend, please feel free to shoot me an email at keriblitz/at/hotmail/dot/com. Thank you all for your help!

I have kept your email too! Ex has booked for kids, me. nanny to go up on 12 Feb 04:30pm. I DO NOT want to go with him there, but it still leaves you one ticket short. Just in case I can convince him to go with kids only, he really does not need to take nanny. Note though - I never keep any hopes with him! edited by summerdream on 08/02/2011

Love it! I will be "expected" to pay xx! Question is, is the food worth the spend? Or is it all about location? Guess I'll have to book and find out! Mum will love it I'm sure!

Does anyone have a menu / price idea etc for the new restaurant. I've had a google but can't find much out. Thinking it might be nice for my Mum's birthday? Anyone done the afternoon tea there? This is from The National, - [i'>Dinner at Burj Khalifa will be steep at At.mosphere Armina Ligaya Last Updated: Jan 23, 2011 For diners at the world's highest restaurant, due to open today in the Burj Khalifa, the bill will be as stratospheric as the setting. Patrons will be expected to spend a minimum of Dh450 (US$122.52) a head for dinner at At.mosphere Grill & Lounge on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa, according to the reservations hotline. Lunch featuring an "eclectic European cuisine" will cost at least Dh300, while those who want to sit in the lounge for drinks or snacks will need to spend a minimum of Dh200 per person. At.mosphere is "a one of a kind restaurant located in the world's tallest building" and the prices "reflect the superior lifestyle experience awaiting guests", said a spokesman for Emaar Hospitality Group, which runs the restaurant. Emaar expects the location, which its has billed as the highest restaurant in the world and which overlooks Dubai and the waters of the Gulf, to be its prime attraction. "Given the location of At.mosphere, at a height of 442 metres in the world's tallest building, we expect a steady flow of visitors," the spokesman said. "The restaurant is already almost fully booked for the first week after opening." As of yesterday afternoon, the dinner service At.mosphere was fully booked for January 23 and 24, apart from cancellations. The restaurant is due to open for lunch guests from next Tuesday, its reservations clerk said. Emaar plans to apply to Guinness World Records to recognise it as the world's highest restaurant, the spokesman added. The restaurant and lounge occupy about 1,030 square metres and can host more than 210 diners. At.mosphere is two floors below Burj Khalifa's observation deck, called At The Top.[/i'>

If you want to put up your phone number quickly - I booked tickets for my parents for 5pm on Friday, if by some miniscule whatever chance that they don't use them, I will give you a call and you can have them. Please don't get excited though - it really is only if for some reason they don't use them. They are going home next week otherwise I would book them for another time and you could have these ones.

How about going to the new Atmosphere restaurant for afternoon tea or drinks as it is just under the viewing deck. Would be cheaper then the 400 dhs on the day entry fee.

I think they keep aside a number of tickets to buy on the day-they are way more expensive so I guess it depends how much you want to do this-give them a ring and check
