Anyone know how to go about getting a visa for Mongolia in Dubai? I know there is no Embassy here.

Summer breeze, did you enjoy your trip? I am hoping to visit next year so any feedback would be great. TIA I did a horse riding trip, staying in gers with local families. I did some archery, learned how to cook some Mongolian food. I had a lovely time. It's not for everyone as it's very basic (pit latrines and no proper showers for days on end) but I'm a backpacking type so it didn't bother me.

You're right - the rules have changes since I went last summer. Looks like you'll have to use a visa agency. Sorry can't be of more help... :(

Every webpage I look at it say waver for only diplomatic uk passport holders. Still waiting for reply from Mongolian Embassy in uk. Supposed to be one in Kuwait but all emails ping back and no answer by phone. Have sent an email to Abu Dhabi: no reply. Getting frustrated ;(

I have a uk passport, Everywhere I look it says you need a visa with as a uk passport holder unless it is diplomatic.

As sarahlou says, check on the website as many nationalities don't need visas (Brits for one). I went down through Mongolia on the TransSiberian railway last summer - HIGHLY recommend it!

When I went 1.5 years ago they had just (literally the day before I was going to get my visa sorted) made it so I didn't need to get one. Just turned up at the airport in Mongolia - can't even remember if I had to pay any thing there. I have a British pp.
