My folks have asked me to bring some back with me in a few weeks. I had brought some chocolate stuffed ones before, but when they visited last my dad got some plain iranian ones from somewhere in the spice souk, which they said were much nicer. I had a look in C4 today, but haven't got a clue. Does anyone know where I can get some from and if they go by another name than just iranian dates?? Really dont want to trek over the creek at the moment too hot...... TIA

I had to pick up a gift and was going through heaps of boxes of Dates in Geant. Most of them made in UAE or, more expensive ones, produced in KSA. I found one small cardboard box of dates which sa...
The most delicious Iranian date I ate was with the Noshid brand. Through my research on this brand, I found out that they are the exporters of various types of Iranian dates such as Kimia dates, Sayer dates, and Piarom dates. I also recommend you not to doubt in buying this persimmon if you see it in stores.

Are you talking about the cool, semi refrigerated dates that come in the small white box. I have been looking for them at all my favorite supermarkets that I buy from each Ramadan, and I have yet to find these this year. Are these the ones at Hyperpanda or Park and Shop? Yes they do come in a white box - I prefer to buy from Park & Shop because they keep theirs cool; they are in the fruit & veg section.

Hi there - I also love the Iranian dates! You can buy them at Park & Shop and also at Hyperpanda Festival City. As Wild Mint already mentioned they cost approx 10 dhs a box. Enjoy

I had to pick up a gift and was going through heaps of boxes of Dates in Geant. Most of them made in UAE or, more expensive ones, produced in KSA. I found one small cardboard box of dates which said 'made in Iran'. It was cheap, about 10dhs. I haven`t tried it, but it was the only time i saw iranian dates sold in the supermarket. Thanx for info, I was expecting them to be expensive so good to hear. Now just have to find some......
