I'm considering visiting Santa's Village within the next two weeks with my children. While doing a search on here I saw that "Canterbury Tours " was recommended. Anyone here who has done this trip out of Dubai ? In the end of November ? Was also searching trip advisor and unable to find anyone who arranged it out of Dubai. Thank you

I am from Finland and happen to be going there this Xmas with my family too. You fly from Dubai to Helsinki with Finnair and then again with Finnair to Rovaniemi where Santa's village is. You will love the reindeer and husky rides, Northern Lights, the Xmas feel. You can try staying one night in Ice hotel, try the Joulukka experiences (check their website), if you have time to visit the world's most northern Zoo with Nordic and arctic animals, cross Arctic Circle and even experience the Sampo icebreaker. Finnish Lapland is incredible. They can even arrange there for a reindeer ride that pick you up from the airport!

We went a few years back and travelled independently. Booked KLM to Helsinki via Amsterdam. Took the sleeper train to Rovaniemi. Spent 10 days in Lapland over Christmas. The best time ever. Its cold..got down to about -28C. So make sure you and kids are well attired.

We did that trip a few years ago and we all loved it. One of our favorite trips ever. We did it via Gatwick, though. At the time the travel agent here was offering us a similar trip from Dubai to Helsinki and then up to lapland. It actually worked out cheaper going through Gatwick and then directly on to Lapland. It was so well organized, I'd do it again in a flash. Here is where we went: http://www.monarch.co.uk/holidays/lapland/adventures/new-year-adventures/4-night-trip-olos
