Hello All

I am just enquiring in what you would expect to pay for a live in maid and also what they would expect back from you (flights home/holidays/medical insurance etc etc)
Also does anyone manage to get a maid that will lso double as a driver?

Dubaiden - Live in maids salary can range from 700-2000dhs. If you pay 700dhs, then you normally pay for their food, clothes, toiletries. If you pay say 1500dhs, then they pay for all the stuff themselves. It also depends on nationality, experince etc. Flights home can range from yearly or every 2nd year. Holidays tend to be 4 weeks a year, this is when they go home. If your looking for a maid who doubles as a driver, these people can be difficult to find and will be more expensive. Every year you pay 10,000dhs to the government to sponsor them, thats if your an expat. Locals pay less, but I dont know how much less. Working hours can range from 7 days a week (with 1/2 day off per month) to 5 1/2days a week, 6am - Midnight. It really depends on the needs of your family. My maid works 5 1/2 days a week, 7am - 8pm and basically runs the entire household. She has got it good as I live on my own and she looks after my 5 dogs. I hope this information helps?
