Was wondering if anyone knows where I can get low fat fromage frais and quark I have looking in Spinneys, Park and Shop, Choitrams.

You can buy at Carrefour in MOE Fromage Frais low fat in a 1 kg blue tub (carrefour brand home brand), and in small 4 er Set with vanille flavour. These are much cheaper than Organic Shop. I love Quark. Back home in Germany they so many more flavours, we eat very very often in different recipes, but here I am happy to these 2 choices. Better then nothing. You can make great Dips with that - so you don't have to feel guilty about calories...

the organic either in greens or dubai mall has quark - no fat, low fat or normal sort of thing. its the most authentic quark here in dubai. low fat cream cheese not sure as don't buy it. sorry

I used to use the low low fat philadelphia as an alternative to quark in the UK which worked quite well but it is also quite hit and miss to find here - i do believe that liquidized cottage cheese also works well i think i would maybe drain some of the liquid before hand and then add it again if consistency requiring more liquid

Galleries Lafayette has it (low fat) have not seen Quark there though. I am on the lookout for no fat yogurt that might be flavoured (not fruit yogurt) more like lemon flavour etc or just plain no fat I can make into Greek :)...have done...Spinneys Jumeriah, Big Spinneys, both choitrum on al Wasl, spinneys Mercato, C4 Mirdif. Just not having any luck at all. The only one we have found is Yoplait Vanilla which is nice but a chnge would also be nice :)

Thank you ladies thats great didn't think of looking in Lulu's and I will definitely make my way down to Geant as well...... started the dukan diet and FF Fromage frais and quark are staples and needed in a lot of the recipes.

I have bought both from Lulu Al Barsha but it is hit and miss. Sometimes it is there but most of the time not. Both were in the imported fridge area. The quark was in a 300g tub and the low fat fromage frais was in a 4 pack. I have also seen French low fat fromage frais at Geants Ibn Battuta in a six pack in the same fridge area as yoghurt.
