Need some advise from experienced Ladies here.

My maid's visa is expiring on 20/1/11. I have a replacement in training now on a visit visa who has been in Dubai since 2/1/11. I understand that the outgoing maid has 30 days grace period before she has to leave Dubai.

My question is will I be able to apply for a maid's visa for the new maid if the outgoing maid is still in Dubai during the 30-day grace period. I will have to apply visa for the new maid before 1/2/11 when her visit visa expires.

Any ideas anyone?

Firstly your maid in training should not be working for you on a vist visa - her visa status should be changed to allow her to work..... Why don't you let the other housemaid go to look for a new placement and if she doesn't find one then she leaves your employ and returns home. I believe it depends on your personal circumstances for you to sponsor 2 housemaids at the same time. for example I don't think you can if it's just you and no dependents. If you hve dependents you have a good case for sponsoring more than one staff member. Probably best to check with immigration as the rules do change so often! edited by Clairehdp on 12/01/2011
