Moving to Dubai from UK
Hello Everybody,
I’m hoping you lovely ladies could offer some tips and advice.
My husband is currently going through the interview process for a role in Dubai. It’s looking increasingly likely that we may soon be moving out there with our 4 year old daughter and two dogs.
I’ve started looking at the different neighbourhoods and schools etc, but I’m actually finding the whole process a little overwhelming. I’m bit of a country girl at heart, so I’m not sure how or if I’ll cope over there, but I’m willing to give it a try.
I visited Dubai on holiday about 8 years ago and loved it, we stayed with a friend in Downtown Dubai and I really enjoyed it. Although I know there’s a big difference between visiting a place and actually living there!
How did you cope with the change when you moved over? What neighbourhoods are recommended for young families? Where are the best places to meet friends? Are schools really difficult to get in to? Sooo many questions!
Any tips, advice or information would be greatly appreciated.
