Hello!

I'm planning my move to Dubai and now looking around on some jobs for a Project Manager Assistant& Administration. However I have no clue what is proper salary range to live in Dubai that I should ask for.

For some background information: I've been working for 6 years in project management consultancy & 2 years in administration. Unfortunately, I dont have a PM certification yet, still studying to get there. I'm single with no attachment and would need to start everything from scratch: housing (1 br), car, insurance etc. I dont often spend much on bars, brunchs or other luxuries but I do treat myself at least once/week for a drink or eat out and a travel (a week or so) per year.

Could anyone share any idea how much I should aim for to set up a new single-lady-life in Dubai? I've done some research but the range is too large from 7,000-18,000 UED, some are even lower which is quite unnerving cos I'm aware how expensive Dubai is.

Any advice would be very appreciated.

Thank you :)

Anything from AED13000-22000 lots of factors to take into consideration though and bear in mind the job market is still quiet and you will be competing with people from other countries who will take lower salaries

Hello, Thienlinh252. It's hard to give specific numbers. There are a lot of factors involved, too. Things like where you plan to live in Dubai, what your budget will be for rent, etc. Some people work in Dubai and live in Sharjah because they want to spend less money on rent. I don't know a lot about the work sector you've mentioned but it is competitive here and there are different pay scales from one company to the next. The kind of passport and educational background you have also has an impact. Some people live in shared accommodation and some people don't like to do that. So, it really varies.
