Nice little finds in Dubai: FOOD!
Hi Ladies,
I have read some great recommendations on here and finally I think I have found two things worth recommending too.
I like roaming around big cities and finding unusual/ quiant places to eat that serve tremendous food at an affordable price or 'unusual' food- and I honestly thought I'd never find that in Dubai. But here are two places I recently found that I think are worth visiting:

A very small Thai restaurant in Al Wasl Plaza, just off Al Wasl Road. Their menu is quite extensive and I can honestly say that they serve great, authentic thai food. The portions are a bit too big for me, but that's not a complaint :) If you haven't been, you have to go even if it is just to have a good laugh about the 'naughty' descriptions on the menu (won't give away too much) in a Middle Eastern city. It makes you wonder why they haven't been ordered to close down...:) I tried to find a webaddress to post it here, but I don't think they have a website. So here is the Timeout review which describes it better than I can: http://www.timeoutdubai.com/restaurants/reviews/2043

Avery small Gourmet Baked Potato shop in Dubai Marina, at the end of the JBR Walk. This is a great find, and if you haven't been, again, you have to go even if it's just to be completely blown away by what they have done to the jacket potato. The food is beyond delicious and the presentation is really great. It gets very busy (I went twice so far and it was packed both times) so best to call and ask when their 'quiet time' is. They only have outside dining and it is roadside, which is a pity because some cars make a lot of noise . But a must do especially if you are familiar with the jacket potato and believe it cannot be gourmet (this is what got me interested in the place) It is definitely worth going. I tried to find a Time out review, but couldn't so here is their website http://www.tubersonline.com
Enjoy, Ladies!
