Hi Ladies. Am due first baby in March and am still deciding whether to get a nanny or use a nursery. So far, despite wanting to use a nursery I seem to be limited to getting a nanny as I need a nursery where baby can be dropped at 7am and collected at 4.30pm each day. I am a teacher so don't need baby care for school holidays. Baby will be almost 6 months old when I return to work. Am I living in a dream world or do these type of nurseries exist? As far as I can see there are no nurseries that cater for working mothers at all in Dubai!

Daisy.....went to visit Littlewoods today and loved it! Seems so relaxed and has great facilities. Just really warmed to the staff. So definitely up there on the list! Will check out a few more but soooooo pleased with this one, plus the location is great for us. Thanks for the advice! :)

You could also try Little Wings International Nursery in Jumeirah 2 between Safa Park and Jumeirah Post Office. I don't know why their website is no longer active. I think they starts officially at 7.30am to 6.30pm but whenever I pass by the nursery in the morning, I could see parents dropping their kids off around 7am or so. Sorry Daisy. I know it was a nursery you were suggesting, but perhaps I wasn't clear. I was just explaining why I would rather a nursery than a nanny. :) I will contact Littlewoods today. They are actually quite near to us which is fantastic. The others would be a bit far in order for me to get to work on time. We are in the Downtown area. Thanks for all your suggestions ladies. I will contact all of these nurseries and see how I get on. :)

Hi gingercat, Littlewoods is a nursery!! I'm not sure why you would think I was suggesting a stranger look after your child. My DD goes to the nursery from 8-2. You don't have to send your child from 7-6 that's just when they are open and fee's vary on hours spent there and how many times a week they go. Send them an email they will be able to advise you on fee's etc. My DD goes 3 mornings a week and they provide her lunch and I am very happy with the staff and facilities they have there. Good luck in your search.

There are several other nurseries that offer your required timings. My DS is in London & Paris Int'l Nursery (on Beach Road, opp. Jumeirah Beach Hotel). Their official earliest drop off time is 7.30 am, but I am sure this is negotiable. They have classes until 5.30 pm. The staff is very nice and warm, and the baby section is bright, colourful, and all staff are well trained and caring. Hope this helps :)

Thanks Daisy! Just not keen on the idea of my baby spending all day with someone that I don't know much about. I would never ask a stranger to take care of my baby at home so don't want to have to compromise here and feel nurseries are a safer option with properly trained staff etc. Do you have any idea of how much baby care fees are? Can't seem to access any fee structure on their website.

Have you had a look at Little Woods, I think they are open from 7-6!! They have a lovely baby room and the staff there are lovely. My DD is VERY happy there and I am very happy sending her there. Good luck with your search.
