Good day all

I am currently a high school teacher. This is my final year of study and as soon as I have concluded my studies I would love to move to the UAE and work and live there with my family. However my question pertains to the Arabs of the UAE. Let me begin by saying I apologize to anyone if I would cause any offense. Many of my friends advise against working in the UAE . they say the Arabs are quiet arrogant, rude, inhospitable.
Is this true? Somehow that seems to be the only factor keeping me back from applying for teaching posts to the UAE. Once again I apologize if I offended anyone with the question above .

Thank you

I think you really need to change your friends That is the biggest load of twaddle I have ever heard in my life. I have lived and worked here for ten years and come from the U.K. The only problems I have ever had are with arrogant rude expats who move here and develop a king Edward sized chip on their shoulder. Thank you for clearing that up. Much appreciated

I think there are a lot of people with unfair prejudice towards "Gulf Arabs".. I haven't found most of it to be true, although there are unpleasant people in every society.
