I know the Lighthouse Arabia on Al Wasl has been offering "Tween Talks" to the community for a free/minimal price. You could contact them directly to see when the next session is available.

Hi bingo....ur absolutely right about channelising his energy..he already plays golf, but I guess he needs a more active sport e.g.football,as he loves it. I'll see if he can join some football classes. There he can be active and make friends as well.thanks a lot for ur suggestion...

Try to encourage him to join some physical activities like sports, start hitting the gym, etc. Maybe he is just pressured by his friends. Don't worry, he'll be able to overcome that

Just to add - get him to support a charity in his home country or here for people less fortunate than himself and sponsor to raise funds and ask friend to do so too.

Some times boys that age need to be very active to channel their aggression - physically and mentally - not just sit about naval gazing about themselves!. Competitive runs, climbs, swimming, any extra sport might be a help. Also let him know his full heritage, culture, and national history to be proud of. Point out all skin types are/can be attractive/very attractive and why. His education and school should be keeping him on the right track ( as well as parents of course). Praise him for what he is good at. Hopefully he can find something he is very interested in. Encourage him with your national role models eg sports men etc. past and present. Good luck.

Its probably just peer pressure in his part. You know how teens are today, they're most concerned of their skin color and stuff. just show him your support, and talk to him casually, like a teenage friend as well. I agree with Ms Judea!

My advice for you is to talk to him personally. Maybe he is just discovering things, you know it's part of puberty. You should talk to him like a friend so he will be open to you.You can do that

Hi friends !! I have a 13 year old son and he's giving us hard times. Besides being defiant (like a typical teen), he's become foul mouthed n aggressive. The most worrisome part is that he's excessively worried about his skin color and is constantly demeaning our nationality.. I'm at my wits end....any suggestions please....
