Recommendation: The Gate Hotel - Brunch/Italian Restaurant
Had brunch there today and I have to say I was totally impressed. Fresh food, plenty to drink, great service. AED395 including drinks/champagne. Drinks served were ****** Marys and Mohitos. Champagne flowed. Fish could not have been fresher!!! The food in the chaffing dishes are set in dishes so that the food is never laying there - constantly being replaced with fresh cooked food.
Also went to the Italian restaurant last night - Sicilia - and the food was excellent - great service as well. Because everything is cooked fresh (pasta is homemade and not precooked) there is a gap between courses - giving time to digest each course (very Italian). Limited menu with good choices. Open kitchen and the chef is very hands on.
Highly recommend both. And the property is lovely.
