If you work for a company and they say " we have no job for you here any more but there might be something somewhere else"( but for less money) and you say no, does it mean you get redundancy benefits or is it considered you quit the job?

It's s UK company but the ME branch. We're worried they will claim we are not entitled to benefits as we have refused the job offered. In my mind, being a new job it should be taken as such and start with a new contract while the old one ends. Also, DH seems to think he will have to willingly resign so he won't get any benefits.

it is the company breaking the contract, isn't it? You should be getting the benefits. Happened to my friends, they were offered a postition in Qatar, the company terminated them with all benefits at the end. But I guess it depends where is somewhere else, if it is somewhere in UAE, I think you have to quit..
