We got our DS back in 16 days. what you didnt have to send him in person did you, must of cost a fair bit in courier fees too!

It seems complicated but it's really easy - fill the form out and take it DHL at Mall of Emirates - they were great. We got our DS back in 16 days. A lot more efficient than if we were in the UK!

I am Irish so it might be slightly different but heres something interesting to note about reapplying for a child's Irish passpot. They are both EU countries so maybe... There are 2 different forms. One is used when applying from home. The other form which cannot be gotten at home or downloaded online is for people applying from overseas. They are different when it comes to the witness signing. The overseas application forms are available fron embassies, consulates and visa offices if different. It seems to me that you were looking at the first one.
