Good afternoon! We want to ask the Landlord for a reduction in rent for the coming year. Is there any "formal" way to do this? Or any "official" wording we should follow?

Not really. Depends why you're asking for a reduction. But legally, according to RERA, your current rent has to be 25% below the market rate as per the rent calculator. If it isn't, then your landlord can refuse.
