Hi Flames, Do let me know if you find a work around for Ulta. Here is a post from someone else on expatwoman. Let me know if this works for you. Hi ladies, I usually have no problem using my Paypal/NBD card on various USA websites (amazon, gymboree). I came across Ulta.com and they said my card is outside of USA and they cannot accept as a payment method. I tried my Paypal, then made a new Paypal using my USA address and USD as the currency, linked my other NBD card, but somehow Ulta.com still detects my account is outside US! How do I get a USA card or is there a way around this? Experience appreciated, thanks! p.s. I tired other websites to get the same products like beauty.com and walgreens.com, all detect that my card is non-US p.p.s. title should say "Now What?" but I can't change it lolz Her workaround Thanks for all the replies ladies! I got my US Paypal to work, even though its linked to my NBD debit card, I just had to update the address to a US address under Billing and Shipping. Thank you! Thanks for posting this! I will try this soon and update here :D

Sure Flames, BTW has anyone bought anything from Ulta. They have a lot of offers on their sites. But they rejected my card as it is not a US based one. Also, MyUS does not work. I tried Ulta zillions of times through different cards and Paypal. Never went through :'( They said they are looking into international shipping/payment method so I am hopeful

Oh could you please share your experience with HauteLook? I have wanted to buy a few products from them but heard that they split the order in multiple packages for shipping and that would result in ridiculous shipping charges via freight forwarder. Anyway, what do you usually buy from Hautelook? I want to try out Morphe and Lorac products so bad :( This is the first time that I bought from Hautelook. I bought some Illamasqua nail polishes. After the reduced rate, they were about 26 AED each. I bought it last month and they have shipped it now only. You have to wait for at least a month to get your stuff. Also, if you order from different events, they will be shipped separately. But if your parcel forwarding service can hold your orders, consolidate them and send everything in a single package, it should not be a huge deal. Some services provide a 60 days holding period. I heard products from the same event ships separately and that's what I was concerned about as it would eliminate my savings if they ship each package separately. Last time I checked, for each additional package, I can save only 5 dhs as they would charge me AED 25 instead of AED 30. Let's see how they treat my first consolidated package. Thanks! Please keep me posted on the Hautelook order.

I order from them all the time via MyBox. Till date, I haven't had any issues. My order gets shipped within 2 days, reaches my MyBox address in 2-3 days and reaches me here in Dubai in another 3-5 days. Btw, I always use Ebates (http://goo.gl/kpYaLg) to get cashback on all of my online orders. They pay me back via Paypal every 2 months. Plus they list all the ongoing promos/discount codes on their page for additional savings. Sometimes the main website doesn't advertise the deals and I find them either through Ebates or Nouvea Cheap/Hip 2 Save. Highly recommend them! Oh MyBox has free sign up this month - https://mybox.postaplus.com/ I have a Shop&amp;Ship account as well but I moved to MyBox as it was a) cheaper b) faster c) none of my orders have gotten cancelled yet :') Rates are AED 30 for first half and AED 25 for every half kg after the first Oh I do not work for them....just very happy with their service :D Tip - For all my orders, I put my MyBox address as the billing and shipping address. If your billing address is different than your shipping address, then it flags up on their system. Both my orders shipped without any issues. I consolidated my orders so Sephora one had to wait out until Stila one reached by address. Expecting both to reach me on the 9th! :D MyBox sends email and SMS updates on the status of your parcels so you know exactly where it is and how much does it weigh once it reaches their US facility.

I tried to order on online from Sephora recently, I had the same issue. Their customer service was truly awful, they didn't even bother to inform me that my order was cancelled until I followed up with them. It took weeks to get a refund and so many generic customer service emails when I was trying to get some information. First off they said my address was in use by some else, they it was a security issue, then they couldn't deliver to a forwarding service for 'quality purposes', then they were apparently targeted for a bulk buy resale and scam (I ordered 4 things all different!) and a few other stupid excuses! Awful awful company to deal with. I ended up ordering from skinstore.com and had no issues, they had 3 out of the 4 things I was looking for and the service was good. No issues using using my shop and ship account. I have just looked on their site ( Thanks for the tip) Did you manage to get liquid items through to here as they have things I want that are really expensive here :) Yep, all 3 things I ordered were liquid, one was a facial oil which was I wasn't sure would get through, no issues at all!
