Hi Ladies,
Suppose this is a little rant (not a Thursday wind-up!) - why does it have to be SO frustrating trying to sell a car?!?! I am not asking for any more than I owe on it yet I keep getting these ridiculous offers which is stressing me out hugely - I really need to sell it before I leave and its delaying everything.

Any ideas of what else I can do aside from Dubizzle, ExpatWoman Classifieds and asking friends to spread the word?!?!

We sold our car on Dubbizle recently without too much hassle, I guess it helped a lot that it had glow mileage. I added 2 good photos and listed all the features of the car, including ones that are not standard -eg I had parking sensors fitted. Also I did not put a phone number only an email so only genuinely interested people got in contact and it was much less stressful. Then the first person who saw it bought it! We also gave the inside a good polish with the special polish for interiors (got it in C4). HTH

hang in there and do not be put off by the endless amount of twits sending emails with ridiculous prices. If you are not in too much of a rush take your time. I sold a car last month to a very nice guy who offered me a fair price after I had all sorts of shenanigans going on with Dubizzle. Someone even put a catalogue photo of the EXACT same car as mine with a ridiculously low price on it unbelievably low mileage etc , a fake tel number and email addy and basically tried to sabotage my geniune sale! some folks have too much time on thier hands. Good luck.

You could put an advert in a shop - do spinneys have a message board? Motor city and dubai marina? I know in abu dhabi - near etihad they have a message board with cars and furniture etc (Abela) supermarket? Facebook? friends of friends would then see your advert???
