Hi,

We're officially infested. There's so many tiny red ants all round the house and they've made an appearance on the couch today, so I now have to find a solution!

Anyone know what to do in the case of tiny red ants? best to get pest control in? and any recommended pest control please.

we have found in our new place that if we water down the patio just in front of the door every morning, then it def stops them coming in. we had them in our last place and someone suggested this and since we've been doing it, nothing! just a quick wash down - nothing major. sorry, doesnt help with getting them out but may help with not having them come bak in again...? Good luck!

Agree with the Terro from Ace it worked well for me and kept them at bay for over a year before they came back and it has worked again.

I feel for you. They are called ghost ants and the problem with them is, that they can easily move their whole nest. So if you pifpaf they simply move a few inches further. I found TERRO Ant killer gel from ACE is doing the job for us. We had pest control in once for them and they explained to me, that you only can get rid off them in using gel, which they carry home and kills all of them. Works for us, good luck for you :-)

Get pest control in now!! We had them in our previous place, and they are nasty little things! Their bites are quite painful and although I was just bitten a few times my DH was bitten almost everyday and used to come up with huge red bumps that would itch for days on end! NASTY NASTY things!!! Well that explains the red itchy bites I have!!! thought it was mosquitoes but they're probably from these horrid ants!!! Any ideas for good pest control?

okay I don't have a clue... how do you tell the difference between regular ants and red ants. I don't feel like going up close to one to see the colour.

I don't honestly think I can do much more than I am. I can't exactly bug bomb the back garden lol But I have to be careful with the powder as the stupid cats were licking it yesterday - luckily they both threw up *sigh*

I'm tired of these little pests too. Everytime I spot them I RAID their entire trail, then put loads of Pif Paf powder where they're coming into the house. But they seem very persistent. they are truly awful! they get into EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE ugh so frustrated with them they're little horrors.
