Hi Ladies,
Im looking for a little advice and info..
I've been working as cabin crew in dubai for the last 6years and really feel its time for a change..
I really have no idea what i would be qualified to do in dubai.. i have been told the job market in dubai is very competitive for westerners.. If there are any ex-hosties out there it would be great to hear what jobs you have gone on to do after flying.. I still enjoy my job but with my husband and i both flying i want to try bring a little normality to the household..
Can anyone recommend which avenue's i should explore..
TIA

I flew for 7.5 years and have now been in HR/recruitment for 3.5 years. Remember it's all about networking in Dubai, so meet people, go to BBg meetings and find someone who will give you a chance.

To be honest all the EK crew friends of mine have all been studying alongside their work, everything from psychology, law and life coaching.

An ex-cabin crew friend is now in real estate and doing very well. You'd probably do well in any jobs in the service sector where people skills are important. Hotel intdustry maybe?

A friend of mine used to the EK flight attendant, quit and became a recruitment consultant here in Dubai.

I have a friend who's ex Emirates cabin crew, she got an English Teaching Certificate and is making a tidy profit teaching English to non-native speakers.
