I am needing to dryclean a dress (for Races this Sat!), I rarely 'dryclean' stuff so I would love to hear of a recommendation for a really good reliable drycleaners here in dxb!
I know there are many many drycleaners/laundrys around the place, but I don't want to take this lovely dress just 'anywhere!' ... I would hate to unbeknowingly end up at a bit of a dodgey drycleaners where they may not really 'treat' (in terms of chemicals) their garments well, they may not have the greatest expertise?!!
My dress is pure silk & I would hate for it to get ruined in any way!

I had very bad bad experience with the laundry inside Arabian Ranches, TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with LIVEWEL .... THE ONLY ONE i NEVER HAD PROBLEMS DURING YEARS WAS THE LAUNDRY ON THE BACK OF iNTERCONTINEntal hotel in Deira (now radisson) sorry for capital letters!!! years back I was working close to them, and they know how to clean EXPENSIVE DRESS OR SHIRT.... [i'>Hi Cheche![/i'> ... just thought I'd let you know I was [i'> thrilled[/i'> with the way my silk dress turned out after being drycleaned!! Came back the same colour 'n all! They did a brilliant job (only a bit of staining left at v. bottom rim of dress but that's understandable, it's v. long and drags a tiny bit on the ground!). Very nice men who work in there as well! They actually really seem to care! Thanks so much for your advice! Anything I've got nice 'n expensive that I'm worried about (drycleaning) I'll head straight back there to Radisson Blu d/c in deira! Will also recommend the place if anyone ask's re: drycleaning!! :)

I ended up taking your advice Cheche! I took it yesterday arvo, and the gentleman said he'd have it ready for me to pick up tonight! Seemed like a really nice little drycleaners! Fingers crossed it comes back the 'same colour' and in one piece!! [i'>ha ha[/i'>! :) [i'>I'll let you know how it turns out! [/i'> Stay tuned!! :)

The most professional & best laundry service in Dubai is at Queens Press Laundry in Beach Center (Blue Mall on Jumeirah Beach Road, same as party shop, teacher shop & Automatic restaurant). They are the only ones who really know how to clean fragile items. Whenever I bring them "difficult" items (garments with hand painted enamel buttons, sequins, laces etc ...) they always come back clean and in one piece! +971 4 3497342 Oh and they close between 1pm & 4pm (got caught one day lol) Thank you so so much for this advice! honestly, it's great to know these things otherwise one just doesn't!!! :) I have only just seen this response of yours now, as I had to take action quite quickly (needing it back tonight!) I ended up taking [i'>cheche's[/i'> advice, so I took it to the Radisson Blu hotel's laundry at the back (in deira), seemed like a really nice little drycleaners and the men there were v. nice, I mentioned how keen I was for it [b'>not [/b'>to be 'ruined!' and asked if they were v. familiar on how to 'treat' silk items 'well!' ... I also mentioned that the dress was significantly 'sentimental!' (as it is!! very!) .... they both seemed to assure me they knew how to 'treat' it well! Mr Noor (I think it was?!) also did me a v. big favour in saying he'd have it ready for me to pick up tonight rather than Sat! But I'm so glad you've mentioned these other drycleaners on beach rd, as I live a lot closer to there! I'll try them next time for sure! Thank you!! :)
