My friend is looking for advice. No office will be needed- so it could be a virtual office.
I checked out VirtuZone for him but it seems still expensive. How to do it cheaper?

Have you spoken to the RAK Business Centre, the do RAK or Dubai Licenses and you can be virtual or have an office in the Fairmont Hotel?

The below is from Knowledge village, you'd have to see whether or not your friend would fit into any of their categories though. Also you'd have to check with them about the visa requirements etc... I do know of another company who does this too if none of the KV categories fit, just let me know what category and I can pass details on. I think with the KV one below, you'll have to pay a "virtual office rental" on top of the fees below, which from memory were 250AED a month... Freelance Permit: Exclusively available to Business Centre Partners is the ability to operate as a freelance professional. The Freelance Permit identifies you as a sole practitioner and enables you to conduct your business in your birth name as opposed to a brand name. Costs: Freelance Permit Dhs 7,500/- annually http://www.kv.ae/page/licensing

There is nothing cheaper than VZ. If you need a dubai licence you will need the office no way around it. How much does virtuzone charge though? There may be cheaper options out there.

I heard setting up a business in RAK is the cheapest. Sorry but I don't have any other information about how much or how. It might be worth researching though. HTH

How much were they charging at Virtuzone? I know of a few places but not sure if they're more or less than VZ ETA: what does he need the trade license for? edited by AdviceSeeker on 31/03/2011
