As some of you may be aware had the pest control guys round for bed bugs. They have been round this morning for the 2nd session and did more treatment.

My concern is that we have so much clothes toys etc etc that need to be washed at high temp. They havent found any droppings in our wardrobe and drawers just in our mattress and sofa. Am wondering the clothes we have sealed in bin liners before they came out does it really need to be washed??? ATM am wiping down all dining chairs mirrors cupboards and wardrobe after that I can start putting things back..they said I have to wash all the clothes that were sealed in the bin liners before going back in the wardrobe etc

Surely this is impossible ...I have planned to send bed linen, cushions/covers, curtains/net, duvet, blankets and maybe towels to the laundry and wash only our clothes...

seriously ive never experience this in my life I need some advice in how to deal with this promptly...

Now the guys will be back after 10 days and I have a feeling we will have to get rid of our bed and sofa!! :(

I feel for you i was there last year maid had them in her room i was horrified i got everything out on the balcony almost my whole house, washed everything and when pest control went for a month after i sprayed every room each day before leaving for work with pif paf (the one for bed bugs) i bleached the maids room from top to bottom got rid of her bed and mattress i admit i still check everywhere for signs of the little blighters but have seen nothing with the warm weather coming now though i will be re-spraying everywhere like a nutter Good luck

On the night in question we just went into C4 and there was just the one clothes steamer there amongst the irons, so we bought that. The steam, by definition, is over 100 degrees, so you can kill anything! We actually found a BB and it was dead before the steamer was even on top of him (it gets addictive!)

(..having done ENDLESS research re the dreaded bed bugs when we had them last year...) A mere 60 degrees kills them - you don't have to go as high as 90 - and anything you can't machine wash, you can steam. We bought a steam machine from C4 (next to the irons and it was only about AED 200) and managed to steam everything, from clothes to toys to pillows. Made me feel much better and the pest control guys said this was perfect solution. I feel your pain! Pinks Though I did mention the steam with the pest control guys and they said you better to wash. Though you went through the same experience Ill take your advice on board and purchase a steamer am so sick of this washing and drying between DD DH and I have so much stuff and sending things to the laundry which is costing me a fortune! If you dont mind me asking, which brand did you buy? what temperature does it go up to? Thanks for your advice, Pinks!

You should wash everything just in case there are bedbugs in them. Bed Bugs get everywhere, and are difficult to treat, so if it were me I'd be washing anything and everything
