I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up yet! no, I'm not American but am following the election closely... While most polls point to a Clinton win so far, I was wondering what any Dubai-based Americans are thinking right now?

We won't find out until tomorrow morning, too here in the UAE

I don't see where I said that I agreed with either side. I was simply saying that each side was behaving as badly as the other.

Trump himself may have said stuff for political consumption, but what scares me are many of his supporters. Already there are reports of people harassed by Trump supporters .... And Clintonistas all throwing their toys out of their prams (demonstrating and burning effigies of Trump) because things didn't go the way they wanted. Be interesting to see how many of those so-called celebs who threatened to leave USA if Trump won actually follow through - just like those in the UK who threatened to leave if UK voted to leave EU ... they're all still in the UK as far as I can see. Demonstrating is less dangerous than yanking scarves off Muslim women's heads ....

Both candidates are corrupt however, the Americans made the wrong decision. The biggest political upset in American history.

We won't find out until tomorrow morning, too here in the UAE My husband is American and he really hopes that Trump wins, he says anything can happen since the candidates are within 5% of votes difference from each other. Hope the lesser of two evils will get elected and in my opinion it's Trump. Can I ask why Trump? I'm British and i find this veryyy familiar with the Brexit campaign... Noone thought it would happen, but alas... It did Companies are blaming Brexit as an excuse to rip people off. Walkers Crisps (British company that uses British ingredients.....) Marmite (oooh, I love Marmite) and now Toblerone have done something dodgy to their chocolate. We're all doomed, I tell you. Doomed! Anyway, sorry. I digress. I don't know much about politics but if I was American I'd hate to have to choose between those two. Hahahaaha, agreed! God if America goes belly up does that mean we lose oreos? Not fussed about Oreos to be honest. They taste like cheap bourbon biscuits  However, I would be upset if it had an effect on peanut butter cup supplies.

It just needs to be over - there will be no winners. One is a criminal who thinks she is above the law and doesn't have to play by the rules of every other US citizen and the other is a buffoon that thinks he can say and do anything he wants with no consequences. I'm absolutely ashamed that with all the amazing citizens in the US this is what we were left to choose between. I think FBI already stated that she didn't do anything wrong, but if you opted to say oh she is criminal but never convicted; I must tell you trump is the worse criminal that never been convicted too! Enough the lawsuits against his business, either employees suing him or residence of his projects that suing him too, never mind the 200 years ideas he keep promoting about women- objectifying women as good for entertaining men and baring children, it's dangerous for women to work, racizm in general for any one isn't white Christian straight American male, how he will creat a force to memic the Spanish Inquisition prosecutions, the list goes on and on- stating trump is good; it's like saying Hitler was a great leader for the German nation and succeeded in making Germany a great country that thrived on Nazi ideology.... That's one dude you don't want him poses nuclear button under his tiny hands.
