Dr Walter at Pet Connection may be good with birds but he was unable to tell my friend that her dog was pregnant, less than 2 weeks before she gave birth to a litter of 6 puppies !!!!! The Veterinary Hospital in Al Quoz gets my vote.

I mentioned many times before how Great Dr. Doreen is. And sure, PC try not to make you pay unless it is something necessary or a must do for the pet. I am very happy with her and she has always proved to me that she is a good doctor. I thought that I must mention Dr. Walter because not all vets are birds' specialists and to have someone like him here in Dubai is excellent. I discussed with different vets the situation of my mother's bird back home (he had a beak problem) and all vets advised to take our bird to a bird's specialist not to any vet. That's why it is important to have someone with his experience for the birdies' owners.

I tried several clinics because my rhodesian ridgeback has allergies, skin problems and had a major paw problem.. So i tried out several clinics (abvc, green oasis, vet hospital and pet connection). To be honest the best (for me) is pet connection! Dr. Doreen is truely amazing, very honest and she truely loves animals and is not just thinking about the money she/they can earn with you/your fourlegged.. She cured the paw problem(without surgery!) and even has chosen the cheapest solution for me/us.. Other vets, for example green oasis(dr. Wolf) and vet hospital, just simply wanted to do a surgery on 3(!!!) paws at once.. They told me when i asked how he should do his "business" i should crate him for at least 10 days!! *crazy*) Our vet now is dr. doreen!!!

I am very active today so I will drop here some news on Vets! :) As I said in earlier thread, Al Safa vet are now opened in Mirdiff, so we will be waiting to hear your recommendations on their new branch and vets. I have seen a happy clients at their branch in Jumeirah recently and I also like the fact that they work with feline friends and they have always cats for adoption. My friend adopted a cat from their clinic and she is very happy :) A new doctor joined Lucky Vet Clinic who used to work before in BVC in Abu Dhabi. The owner of the clinic is a huge animal lover and the new doctor seemed really nice. I was looking to adopt a little persian from there but the kitten has a skin problem so I am waiting for the doctor to see if the skin problem can be fixed soon! What I like most about Lucky Vet is their love for animals and they are always happy to help abandoned animals, medicate them and try to find them a new home. You may want to try their new doctor. Lastly, Pet Connection and that's where I take my 2 cats for Dr. Doreen. I know that some people didn't like Dr. Walter but here I want to say that this Doctor is a very nice person and he is a Specialist in Birds, I saw many many customers entering that clinic with parrots, birds and yesterday I saw a chicken! I have never seen a client (while I was there) not satisfied with them, actually I am even surprised from the number of clients going there with their birdies so Dr. Walter must be really good! Lastly Pet Connection now has a grooming service and the lady who had her dog groomed there last night was very much satisfied. Sure, their prices will be more expensive than pet shops but I think I will take my wild persian there :D (I don't mind paying a huge bill for someone good who can groom my Princess) and the siamese as usual to pets habitat.
