We had a look around this development on the weekend. The only question DH had was are the pools chilled? it seems that the pools have a pump room under the ground but there doesnt seem to be a chiller. If any of the ladies that are renting out there could give feedback on this please. It might just be our next home as the rental is reasonable and the properties look lovely.

worse we had DEWA wise was 2500k in August, since then have had 700, 550, 170, 350... happy to live with that.... I am sure if you are in a big 6 bedder with the A/C on in every room every waking hour it could be quite horrific....

you guys are right..I am now calling as many agents as possible and see what they can come up with. I also think I might have left it too late as we want to move by the begining of march.

grrrrr landlords i dont understand them......and if they are funny taking more than one cheque dont bother with them, as u dont want to be a tenant to a greedy landlord.

Line as many as you can up with different agents, they will all tell you that the LL will only take this or that. Make the offer and if they so no just move on to the next one.... I know of one LL who has had properties just sat empty because they wouldn't take more than 1 cheque..... they lose out... rather have 450k in my my pocket over a year than nothing...

I don't know why now I can't seem to find anything under 125 K with 2 cheques! Even for the ones in phase 3 (ghost town) the landlord does not want to drop the price of even the number of cheques. At least this is what the agent is telling me.

Mazaya type is A1 = depending on Phase 115k to 125k is what I am hearing people are actually paying. Dubai Properties is Cordoba = Have heard somebody just paid 135k, but think the range is from 135k - 150k. Some come with all appliances.

Hi, What is the smallest size villa at The Villa, and roughly how much are they renting at? Thanks

I have posted this on the villa website as well and trying here too. I am looking for a smaller Mazaya type with a bigger plot ( the ones with extra space around the pool). We would like to move within 3 weeks, preferably in phase 1 or 2! If anyone knows of a villa available please let me know. Thanks

assisi, may I ask how long in advance you started searching for your villa ? How long did it take to find the one you like?

Hi Assisi, Thank you for taking the time to reply on such a busy day for you - I hope all went well for you with the move. We took a trip to The Villa yesterday and managed to get into our villa as there were workers there who kindly let us in. It's looking good!! Pool not finished but the inside seems to be almost complete (not that I have an expert eye!). We have bought in RP area and it is still very much like a building site but it's amazing how quickly things can be transformed here - something I have learned about Dubai. I did see one villa in our area with people living in it, which surprised us. Out of interest, which removal firm did you use and would you recommend them? Quotes for moving are next on my list!! Hope you are settling in to your new home.

Hi Donna, I'm moving to The Villa today :) ... I noticed the road between Phase 1 and Phase 2 has had some sand dumped on the communal areas ready for landscaping, so that's a start. Certainly some areas of Phase 2 are more inhabited (ie RH) than others. When you drive around there are plenty of landscape gardeners in doing other people's gardens and we've met 3 or 4 giving us their cards and showing us their handywork just as we've driven/walked around. Certainly it will make a difference to the overall look of the place once more people move in and landscape their front gardens. I'm sure you'll be fine by April. What area have you bought in?

I am interested to hear how life is at The Villa a few months on from the last posting. We are due to move there by the end of April 2011. We bought our house there years ago and we're certainly looking forward to having our own place. I'm a bit concerned about how developed (or underdeveloped) our area will be but am reassured that the areas which have undergone some development are looking lovely. Any feedback (good or bad) gratefully received! Also if any one knows of any good/reasonable removal firms or landscape gardeners, feel free to pass on their names!! Many thanks in advance.
