Hiya, seeking some opinions on the touareg..
TOUAREG
1. Is maintenance cost high? Whats a regular service cost? and brake pads i hear are expensive and require frequent changing?
2. Have u had any problems with the car?
3. Saw a thread re al naboodah vw service center isnt good, that post was in 2009, wonder if anyone has had some positive experiences... or not nice one?

PRADO
1. Anyone driving the 3 door or 5 door with the 2.7L engine? What do u think of it? Enough kick? :-)

TIA

Prado any day. Friend had a Toureg and spent quite a bit on maintenance plus had a few things go wrong, although it was second hand but was only about 3/4 years old when it had some issues...

I have a 2.7 Prado and it's fine for road use although I haven't tried off road. So, yes, it's ok but the bigger engine would prob be better.

Wow ! Claire that sounds fab re the service center! Thanks for the info! It really is - it makes such a difference - my husband has a Land Rover and they take it for a whole day to service!!!! There's even a little waiting room there with a drinks machine, water and a vending snack machine - and newpapers and a tv and if the kids come with you they can watch the car being serviced from the viewing gallery - seriously - after having a Toyota/Lexus here I would not have a different car. Plus I think their air con is the best over all the other cars I've been in over here.

Prado driver here - great car, no problems. Cool box is a well used. Easy to drive and a good safe size. Service centre by Oasis great and most services dealt with within the hour. Whilst I would love something slightly more upmarket I just cannot fault this car, you might not love it but as a workhorse it is superb.

Prado driver here and I LOVE it. Fantastic air con, love the cooler box for lovely cold drinks - very easy service centre - done in an hour which gives me enough time to drop off and pop into Oasis centre for a look around and a coffee! I don't think you can beat a Prado for value for money and reliability.

Well the Japenese cars are going to trump the European ones on cost any day of the week for starters.
