Hi everyone, not had a good start to the day, washing machine made an awful noise while on its final spin and when I took the clothes out it was smoking & the drum will now not spin round freely!

I have looked at past threads and tried Thomas who was recommended on here, he is busy so wanted to try someone else.

Can anyone recommend someone that they have used?

Thanks, Moglets x

Agree with comments on LG, called them this week after reading this thread as both my dishwasher and washing machine been making a noise for months. fixed the dishwasher onsite, took the washing machine and brought back 3 days later (said it would be 5) and both working perfectly. wish I'd called them ages ago. Not too cheap, both cost 400 each to fix - motor in one and drum in the other (or something...) but worth it. they came when they said they would and brought the washing machine back earlier than they initially quoted so happy bunny here. will buy more LG products if the service centre is like that! :)

My washing machine has just broken down as well! - its leaking water - seems to be coming from below the filter (which I have taken out and cleaned). Its a Siemens anyone got a service number for them? Thanks Siemens 04 333 0532 Have been impressed with them, come quickly and fix on site if possible, if not, take it and return next day or two at max.

I have managed to find someone to come and take it away and have a look at it so fingers crossed! Thats a tricky one, you could sell them on Dubizzle & just put when they would be available from. I will keep my ears open if anyone I know is looking at replacing appliances.

Hi Highland lass, Its not LG, it was here when we moved in so thinking of cutting our losses and replacing! Who knows how old it is! Will have a look at an LG machine, they seem to get a good review, thank you. Quikchange, hope you get yours sorted soon, didn't realise how much you use it until you can't!

If your machine is an LG I can recommend there service centre. Came within a day and repaired mine including part (seal) for less than 100dhs.
