A new year a new you, I guess. Need to lose at least 8 KG since I had my baby 5 months ago, was wondering which to choose for online support. I know its been done before but I would still appreciate some feed back, feeling big and uncomfortable.

Slimming World all the way, I worked for them for 4 years before I came her, its so easy to follow and very family friendly and you can get the magazine here too, look at the website slimmingworld.com, also look up on U tube slimming world there are quite a few success stories on there including a man who lost 25 stone and is now running marathons!! Good luck with whatever you chose, remember every diet works if you stick to it, we are in charge of what we chose to put in our mouths, Dubai is stuffed with temptation, also a bit of body magic goes along way too! Slimming worlders know that is SW refernce to the E word. Heres to a lighter new year for us all!!

I don't know why, I didn't get on with Nutracheck at all. Am looking at FitDay, which doesn't do racial profiling ( ;) ) but think I will try to find the dosh to go back to Weight Loss Resources to whom I am apparently not allowed to link (trying to think what might have offended in my original post).

Get on a treadmill and run run run :) no need for any of these bogus websites! Take it from someone who knows :) It is true that WW and SW do not suit everyone they can hardly be called bogus. The difficulty we face in the Middle East is that many online programs are tailored to where they are domiciled. WW Australia works well in Australia and SW UK is great in the UK etc. but they do not always translate fully here. There are many other websites that do not charge a subscription fee or a monthly charge that can be helpful and it is a matter of trying a few and finding the one that best suits you and the types of foods you eat. Online accountability is not for everyone however one should not dissuade someone else who interested. I lost a large amount of weight with WW community meetings however I now maintain using a free calorie counting and diary website and the support of likeminded friends. Congratulations on deciding to make positive and healthy changes in 2011 Coolbabe :) Hi Cyclone T please can you share the address for the calorie counting and diary website. I read on a previous post of yours that the slowly, slowly approach to shredding the weight is the best - good advice and 0.5kg a week is my goal...but in spite of burning 700 cals 5 days per week at the gym I don't loose that - so I think I need to re look at my diet. Any advice would be gratefully received. :)

If I weren't so broke at the mo, I would probably rejoin this online community This is an Australian site but it is FREE: http://www.calorieking.com.au/ Once you register it takes a day or so for it to be activated and then you will be off and running. The food database is Australian but you can also enter custom foods and custom exercises. There is a recipe database, forum and education program too. As it is free the only thing you have to lose is excess weight :) Thank you for that and for replying to my post which for some reason has disappeared.. I'll go and log on now.. There are free weightloss websites. I got a lot of advice and support from http://www.dwlz.com/ Check their message board. They even help you choose meals at restaurants that are healthier if you want to go eat out.

I agree with abbyboot. Threadmill (and/or spinning) everyday and a [u'>BALANCED[/u'> diet (http://www.goodhabitsuae.com/portal/index.php). I lost 30 pounds doing that last year.
