I am looking for these salts to cure meat which will be cooked later. not sure if I have this right, but there is this pink salt, found at this website http://www.thesaltseller.co.uk/ If this is the one you need, then you can find in Biorganic - am not sure it is for the same purpose... hope this helps. good luck :)

I am looking for these salts to cure meat which will be cooked later. Are you asking about the Himalayan salt or the mountain salts? Not Himalayan, mountain or rock salt. Looking for salt which Di@DXB mentioned - Saltpeter or Prague powder #1 or #2. These salts contain nitrates and nitrites which kill bacteria.

A friend of mine told me that we can find pink rock salts in pakistani shops i'll ask againt to make sure where from exactly.. i see pink rock salts in lulu occasionaly but this is in AD so i don't know about dubai..

I have not seen Saltpeter here, was thinking of making some salt beef and searched all the gourmet grocers. I'd be interested to know if you find any but think it would not be allowed to import either due to its flammable nature.
