Hi all,

We live in Springs 14 and for the last couple of weeks or so there has been this cat (boy) on street 6 that is always there either fighting with other cats or meawing very loudly wanting food and attention.
We have been feeding him ever sincen he came up to my DH when arriving from the airport in the middle of the night and he gave him some food.

I think our neibours are now getting fed up of his loud meawing and are not best pleased about us feeding him...

Does anyone know if he belongs to someone or whether he is just a street cat? He doesnt have a collar...
Not sure what to do... but we dont have the heart not to feed him... we would take him in, but we already have 2 of our own.
Any advice greatly appreciated!

TIA

Hey Dubai2003, IF you are able to get a picture of this cat and put it up on Dubizzle (plus post the link here) you may reunite someone with their lost kitty... thats how a friend of mine found her cat, a lady found it and took pictures so they were able to identify him :) Also, if you can catch it and have it scanned that would be great.

Hi Animaltreasure Sorry it is not your Kitty:( this one has a clip out of his ear so has been a street cat at some time. So sorry that you have lost him. I will keep my eyes open and hope he comes home soon. Thank you for checking, it was worth a try:(

Please can you check if he is mine, here is the dubizzle link [url=http://tnydu.biz/D0fHgN'>link[/url'> with his photos. We lost him from Springs 15 on August 31st and we have been desperately looking for him every since. Rolo is orange and white and extremely friendly. He was wearing a blue collar with his tag and ID but that could easily have come off by now. He is microchipped. He is neutered though and actually not noisy but he could I suppose act that way if hungry. Please text/call me if there is any chance it is him and I will come and check. Thanks Can't seem to get the short link to load, hope this one is better - [url=http://dubai.dubizzle.com/classified/lostfound/lost/pets/2011/1/2/lost-ginger-and-white-cat-2/?back=Y2xhc3NpZmllZC9sb3N0Zm91bmQv&ps=2'>link[/url'> edited by animaltreasure on 10/01/2011

I remember reading posts about a lost ginger and white cat from either meadows or springs, around the springs 14 area, think it may have been Nomad... Could this be the same kitty?

if you do start feeding a cat, you cannot very well stop without alot of noise. the neighbours will just have to shut their windows for now. have him checked for a chip, does he have his bits that you noticed? What Marycatherine says plus, feed him by a bin if you can and leave water.

Hi Sunseeker123 I also live in Spring 14 and think this maybe the same cat that comes to us to! He used to have a collar on but since we have came home from Christmas break he doesn't anymore. He has been coming to our garden for a few months now and I at first thought he had been abandoned:( but with the collar I wasn't sure. If you can leave your e-mail address I can send you a picture and see if this is the same cat? Poor thing he is so friendly but think he defiantly has been left behind:( I have a cat myself so cant take him in but would be willing to take him to vet to check Micro Chip.

Feline Friends or similar may be able to help you arrange to have him neutered if he is indeed a stray (that will help reduce the fighting instinct to a certain extent). I know it's difficult NOT to feed the strays (I was out in the street helping one across a busy street today) but it's not fair to the cat. If you feel you must feed, do it on random days at random times, not on a regular basis. Once he gets used to coming to you at xhour every day, he'll give up looking for food on his own. If you feel you must - every second or third day, and do it at different times (when you go to work, when you get home from work on the week end in the middle of the day. It's a nice supplement but he's still on his own and if you should change accomodation, he won't be left expecting (and starving for) food.

Thanks fairycakeyumm, I think we will do that if we get no luck through here and speaking to some of the other residents of Springs 14.

Pop him to the vet to see if he has a chip ..then they can find out where he lives who he belongs too...
