I just got back from the dentist:( It turns out that a bit of mild toothache is going to require a huge amount of jaw droppingly expensive treatment (full quote to arrive later today). Naturally, I rushed to check out my health insurance and discovered that only mercury fillings and extraction with pliers are covered. Even my exam and x rays will not be repayed because the dentist filled the form in stating that it was "a routine exam" rather than a diagnosis of my toothache issues. Does anyone know of a dentist who is a little bit more canny about dealing with insurance companies. Is there anyone, other than the local barber, who will deal directly with the insurance companies. The ones listed as my approved providers do not fill me with confidence.
