Have you tried Cone Street? They have outlets in Souk al Bahar, Marina Mall and JBR. It feels really light and fresh (I'm sure it's loaded with calories but anyway;)). Marshmallows and pistachio are my favorites. There are vouchers in the Entertainer too. Has anyone tried Bloomie's ice cream in Bloomingdale's. I resisted the temptation yesterday, maybe because I just stuffed myself with a Magnolia cupcake, but anyway....

bring 2 cups of water to boil add 1 cup of sugar and the zest of 4 lemons ( wash them to get rid of wax/pesticides) cool the mix and place in fridge. When cold add 2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice sieve the mix to remove zest and pulp. Beat 2 or 3 egg white until stiff. Add these to the lemon and place in the ice cream maker. When machine stops the mix is still quite soft so I freeze it for 1/2 hour before serving it.

Ooh Shaks I don't suppose you could share your sorbet recipe, could you? I've only tried sorbet once and it didn't really work so I'd love a tried and tested recipe.

400 ml condensed milk 400 ml double or whipping cream, whipped Throw in whatever flavouring you want... choc chips, couple tbsp's Tia Maria (if you are that way inclined ;) ), few drops vanilla flavouring, chopped strawberrries, anything really... Stir together well, put in bowl, freeze. Done. Delicious!!! (but don't count the calories!!!)

Morelli's Gelato for me :-) I forgot about that one, it's really nice and there's vouchers in the entertainer. I also like the swiss chocolate from Marble Slab and chocolate mousse royale from Baskin Robbins. We have some of the Bulla in the freezer and it's very good for the price.
