Hi Ladies, I was wondering if you could make any suggestions on what I could do. My 10 month has started refusing his formula milk - this has been coming on slowly but he would normal take at least half first thing in the morning before refusing the rest and the same thing in the evening. His 3pm feed he would normally drink in full.

But for the past 3 days he really does not want the milk in the morning, i've tried different cups, feeding him in different rooms and waiting then trying again, eventually he will take it but this morning he took nothing.

I know his top 2 teeth are coming through and this could be part of the problem but I'm not sure it is completely responsible for not having any at all. Do you have any suggestions or experiences you could share.

My concern is that he still requires milk and therefore I really would like him to have it.

at that age my baby started refusing to nurse in the morning and would have his breakfast and not nurse until it was around 10am, I just went with the flow because I figured he was still nursing often enough, he now happily takes it again first thing so it was a phase in our case. I would suggest you keep his formula intake up by adding it to other dishes, ie making a breakfast custard (eggs, formula and banana/berries etc plus cornflour to thicken, whack it all in a pyrex bowl in the microwave and then put in the blender, you can make a batch and freeze the extras. Or a rice pudding (use risotto or pudding rice)and give him extra sips of water to keep his fluids up. and of course, try throughout the day, he make just not feel like it first and last thing
